Say "hello" to Erin Day, one of four female Vice Presidents for Community First Solutions. Read Erin's career story and discover other fun facts about her and what has shaped her style of leadership through her personal life and professional career.

How long have you been with Community First Solutions?
"Since July of 2019."

What was your first job?

"Working for my parent's family business, Eagle Tee Golf Center."

Do you have a female role model? Who and why?

"I have been blessed with 2 great ones. My mom started her own business all while raising her family. She continues to run her business along with managing my brother's business to this day. My Stepmom spent over 30 years working her way to the highest executive level at GE. She blazed a path for women in manufacturing during a time period in which women were not supposed to have careers in manufacturing."

What three words would you use to describe your leadership style?

"Solution-focused, Competitive, Arranger."

You just got home from a day of work, what do you do to decompress?

"As a single mom, there is not much time to decompress with cooking dinner and helping with homework. I will try and relax and read a book for a few minutes or scroll the news."

What passions do you have outside of your career that your colleagues would be surprised to know?

"I have been coaching volleyball since high school and like to golf."

Men have their power suits, but what is that “power outfit” or accessory that you

feel the most confident in when faced with a big meeting, presentation, or

high stakes situation?

"Wearing something in my power color pink. Comfortable shoes help too."

How do you overcome days of self-doubt in your positions?

"Remember the why behind what I do and that there is nothing a great team
can’t figure it out."

It’s Saturday at 6pm during the summer, where might we find you?
"Hitting golf balls at Eagle Tee or hanging out on the back porch/yard with my kids."

Do you have a favorite leadership quote?
"You can’t be a winner until you have been a loser."

What is a piece of advice you would give the next generation of female leaders?

"Don’t be afraid to take on challenges outside your comfort zone."

How does the culture at Community First Solutions foster/help females enter

leadership positions, and continue to build their leadership skills?

"Community First Solutions culture supports women in leadership at a variety of levels. Not only can you find women leaders at every level, but those leaders support one another. Community First Solutions invests in the training of women leaders so they have the skills to take on the next challenge."

What is your Why?

"I work in the behavioral health field so that we can positively impact the lives of those struggling and provide support to their loved ones."
