Kelley Lawrence
Vice President, Health Services

Kelley is responsible for overseeing the operations of Berkeley Square, Westover and Jamestowne, including all health services, hospitality and sales.   Kelley began her career as a rehabilitation social worker and was inspired to obtain her administrator’s license. Kelley has been an administrator for  15 years.

How long have you been with Community First Solutions?
"9 years." 

What was your first job?

"Server at Ponderosa."

Do you have a female role model? Who and why?

"Maya Angelou. She was a quiet but powerful, strong, and forceful leader.

One of my favorite quotes “I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t laugh."" 

What three words would you use to describe your leadership style?

"Open, consistent, results-driven."

You just got home from a day of work, what do you do to decompress? 

"I often reflect on my day over dinner with my husband."  

What passions do you have outside of your career that your colleagues would be surprised to know?

"I love to clean and organize my house. Organizing is therapy for me!"

Men have their power suits, but what is that “power outfit” or accessory that you

feel the most confident in when faced with a big meeting, presentation, or

high stakes situation?

"I have a ring that was my grandmother's. She was always my biggest cheerleader in whatever I did. I wear it on these days knowing she is so proud of the person I am." 

How do you overcome days of self-doubt in your positions? 

"Control what you can control, give a 100% in all that you do, and know tomorrow is a new day."

It’s Saturday at 6pm during the summer, where might we find you?
"Sitting around a campfire with friends and a cocktail." 

What is a piece of advice you would give the next generation of female leaders?  
"Always believe in yourself and your potential, never forget Who YOU are. Stay focused on why you want to lead, laugh, smile, and have fun. Life is so short!" 

What one book/blog/article would you recommend to the upcoming women in leadership?

"Dare to Lead” by Brene Brown."

How does the culture at Community First Solutions foster/help females enter

leadership positions, and continue to build their leadership skills?

"CFS fosters growth and education opportunities.  I am a strong believer in promoting within, mentoring the female leaders we have within the company. All three of the directors of Nursing that I have hired have all been promoted within.  Believe in and grow your teams." 

What is your Why? 

"To push myself to be the best version of me, and always be grateful for all the opportunities that I have been given. "
